What we don't do
Before getting into your choices, here's what's already true about ROKO:
- We do not sell your personal information. Not now, not ever.
- We do not share your information for cross-context behavioral advertising. No retargeting pixels from Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, or Google Ads on our site.
- We do not buy customer lists. Every email we send is to someone who gave it to us directly.
- We do not track you across other websites.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we honor it automatically.
Manage cookies on rokohome.com
You can choose which categories of cookies are active on rokohome.com:
- Strictly necessary — always on; required for the site to work and for secure checkout
- Analytics — pending activation; will let us understand how visitors use the site (only with your consent)
- Advertising — currently not used by ROKO
To change your cookie choices:
- Click the floating preferences icon in the lower-left corner of any page on rokohome.com
- Or click "Cookie Settings" in the footer
- Or contact us at [email protected]
For details on each cookie we use, see our Cookie Policy.
Access, correct, or delete your data
You can request:
- A copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction of any information that's inaccurate or out of date
- Deletion of your information, subject to legal exceptions (such as tax records we're required to keep)
- Portability — your data in a machine-readable format you can take elsewhere
How to submit a request:
- Email [email protected] with your request and the email address used for your purchase
- Or use the contact form and select "Privacy Request"
We respond within the timeframe required by your jurisdiction (30 days under GDPR; 45 days under CCPA, with a possible extension).
To protect your data, we'll verify your identity before fulfilling the request — typically by confirming the request from the email address linked to your account.
If you're a California resident, see Section 13 of our Privacy Policy for the full set of CCPA rights and the verification process.
If you're an EEA, UK, or Swiss resident, see Section 12 of our Privacy Policy for the full set of GDPR rights.
If you're a Brazil resident, see Section 14 of our Privacy Policy for your LGPD rights.
If you're a Mexico resident, see Section 15 of our Privacy Policy for your ARCO rights.
Opt out of data used to improve our AI
We use anonymized and aggregated Discovery responses to improve our six profiles, refine our recommendations, and train our proprietary AI systems. Before any data is used this way, we irreversibly remove your name, email, IP address, billing details, exact timestamps, and unique demographic combinations.
If you'd prefer your responses not be used at all — even in this anonymized form — you can opt out.
To opt out:
- Email [email protected] with the subject line "AI Training Opt-Out" and include the email address used for your purchase
- Or use the contact form, select "Privacy Request," and mention "AI Training Opt-Out" in your message
We exclude your data from our training datasets within 30 days and confirm by email when complete.
For full details, see Section 10 of our Privacy Policy.
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
Global Privacy Control is a browser-level signal that automatically tells every website you visit not to sell or share your personal information. ROKO honors GPC signals without requiring any further action from you.
If your browser sends GPC:
- Analytics cookies (when activated) stay off until you explicitly accept them
- We treat the signal as a valid opt-out under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
How to enable GPC:
- Firefox: Enable Global Privacy Control
- Brave: Built in; enabled by default
- DuckDuckGo browser and extension: Built in
- Other browsers: Install the Privacy Badger extension
GPC is the simplest way to express your privacy preferences across the entire web.
