1. Welcome

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of rokohome.com and any product or service we offer through it. By using our site or purchasing any ROKO Product, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use rokohome.com or purchase from us.

We've kept the language as plain as we could. Where legal terms are necessary, we explain them.


2. Who we are

rokohome.com is owned and operated by ModaTrends, LLC, doing business as ROKO, a limited liability company organized under the laws of Wisconsin, United States.

Throughout these Terms, "ROKO," "we," "us," and "our" refer to ModaTrends, LLC. "You" and "your" refer to the person using rokohome.com or purchasing a ROKO Product.


3. What we offer

3.1 ROKO Products

"ROKO Products" means the digital goods and services we offer through rokohome.com, including but not limited to:

When we say "your purchase," we mean any ROKO Product. When we refer to "your Discovery," we mean the interactive experience that is part of your Home Profile purchase. When we refer to "your Home Profile," we mean the personalized report delivered upon completion.

3.2 The nature of our products

ROKO Products are digital, personalized creative recommendations. Your Home Profile is generated based on your responses to the Discovery and is intended as inspiration and guidance for your home. It is not professional design advice, medical advice, psychological diagnosis, or any kind of regulated service. We do not warrant that any specific outcome will result from following the recommendations.


4. Eligibility

To use rokohome.com or purchase a ROKO Product, you must be:

If you are using rokohome.com on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.


5. Your account

Some ROKO Products require you to provide your name and email at the time of purchase. You are responsible for:

We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized access that results from your failure to keep your access link confidential.


6. Pricing and payment

6.1 Prices

Prices for ROKO Products are listed at rokohome.com and shown in U.S. dollars (USD) unless otherwise indicated. We may change our prices at any time. Changes do not affect orders already placed.

Applicable taxes will be added at checkout where required by law.

6.2 Payment processing

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc., an external payment processor. By submitting a payment, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Your card statement will show "ROKO DISCOVERY"* or a similar descriptor with the "ROKO*" prefix. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles that directly.

6.3 Order confirmation

After payment, you will receive an order confirmation by email along with the access link to begin your Discovery (or, for gift cards, the redemption code).

If you do not receive the confirmation within 30 minutes, check your spam folder, then contact us at rokohome.com/contact.


7. Access to your Discovery and Home Profile

7.1 Discovery access (30 days)

After your purchase, you have 30 days from the date of purchase to begin and complete your Discovery using the personal link sent to your email. After 30 days, the link expires. To regain access, you will need to purchase a new Discovery.

7.2 Home Profile access

Once you complete your Discovery, your personalized Home Profile is generated and delivered to your email as a PDF attachment. The PDF is yours from that moment forward — it lives in your email and on any device where you save it.

In addition, for 365 days from delivery, you can re-download the PDF through a personal link in our system. After 365 days, the direct link expires, but the file remains archived. To request a copy after that period, contact us at rokohome.com/contact and we'll send it to you.

7.3 Recommendation to refresh

Personal preferences evolve over time. We recommend retaking the Discovery every 5 years to keep your Home Profile aligned with how you live now. Earlier Home Profiles remain in your account history for as long as you maintain a relationship with ROKO.

7.4 Together Edition

Together Edition combines two existing Home Profiles into a joint perspective. Both individuals must have completed their own Discovery before Together Edition can be generated. The same access rules above apply.


8. Final sale and your right of withdrawal

8.1 All purchases are final

Your ROKO Product is a personalized digital experience created uniquely for you. Once you access your Discovery through the personal link sent to your email, your purchase is complete and non-refundable.

8.2 EU 14-day withdrawal — express waiver at checkout

If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction with a similar right, consumer law gives you a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases.

At checkout, before paying, you must check a box that reads:

"I expressly consent to immediate access to my ROKO Discovery and acknowledge that, by beginning the Discovery, I waive my 14-day right of withdrawal under Article 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU and applicable consumer protection laws."

By checking this box, you give the express consent and acknowledgment required by Article 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU and equivalent laws. Your right of withdrawal ends as soon as you access your Discovery. This express waiver, combined with our delivery of personalized digital content, makes your purchase final.

If you do not check the box, you cannot complete your purchase. The choice is yours.

8.3 Limited exceptions

We will refund or reissue your purchase in these limited cases:

In exceptional circumstances outside these cases, we may, at our sole discretion, offer a refund or other accommodation. Contact us at rokohome.com/contact and we will review your situation personally. This discretionary remedy is voluntary and does not create a right or precedent.

8.4 Bug or delivery failure — first remedy is reissue

If you complete your Discovery but do not receive your Home Profile due to a technical issue, contact us at rokohome.com/contact. Our first remedy is to reissue the PDF. A refund applies only if reissue is not possible after reasonable troubleshooting.


9. Gift cards

9.1 General terms

ROKO gift cards may be purchased through rokohome.com and are redeemable for any ROKO Product of equal or lesser value. Gift cards are delivered electronically to the email address provided at purchase.

9.2 No expiration

Consistent with applicable U.S. state laws (including but not limited to those of California, Florida, Maine, and Washington), ROKO gift cards do not expire and the underlying funds do not expire.

9.3 No refund — non-cash

Gift cards are non-refundable, non-returnable, and cannot be redeemed for cash, except where required by applicable law (some states require cash redemption of small remaining balances, which we honor when required).

9.4 Lost or stolen gift cards

We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or unauthorized use of gift cards. Treat your gift card code like cash.

9.5 Once redeemed, the underlying purchase is final

When a gift card is redeemed for a ROKO Product, the resulting purchase is governed by the standard final-sale terms in Section 8. The recipient must check the EU withdrawal waiver box at checkout, just like any other purchaser.


10. License to your Home Profile

10.1 What we grant you

When you purchase a ROKO Product and receive your Home Profile, ROKO grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide license to:

11. Acceptable use

When using rokohome.com or any ROKO Product, you agree not to:

12. Disclaimers

12.1 The site and products are provided "as is"

To the maximum extent permitted by law, rokohome.com and all ROKO Products are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy.

12.2 No professional advice

Your Home Profile is creative inspiration and personalized recommendation — not professional advice. ROKO is not a licensed interior designer, architect, psychologist, or medical professional. Decisions about your home, finances, or wellbeing should not be made solely based on a ROKO Product.

12.3 No guarantee of results

We do not guarantee that following the recommendations in your Home Profile will achieve any specific outcome. Personal taste, environment, budget, and execution all affect results.

12.4 Third-party services

We are not responsible for products, services, or websites operated by third parties, including paint manufacturers, furniture brands, or design professionals you may engage based on Home Profile recommendations.


13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

ROKO is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, loss of use, business interruption, or emotional distress, arising from or related to your use of rokohome.com or any ROKO Product, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Total liability cap: Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or your use of any ROKO Product is limited to the amount you paid for the specific ROKO Product giving rise to the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.


14. Dispute resolution and arbitration

14.1 Informal resolution first

If you have a dispute with ROKO, please contact us at rokohome.com/contact first. We will work in good faith to resolve it directly. Most issues can be resolved without formal proceedings.

14.2 Binding individual arbitration

If we cannot resolve the dispute informally within 60 days, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or related to these Terms or any ROKO Product will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, not in court, except as provided below.

The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, available at adr.org. The arbitration will take place in Appleton, Wisconsin, or — at your election — in your county of residence within the United States. For disputes under USD 25,000, the arbitration may be conducted by telephone, video, or written submissions only.

The arbitrator's decision is final and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.

14.3 Class action waiver

You and ROKO each agree that disputes will be resolved only on an individual basis, not as a class, collective, consolidated, or representative action. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of class proceeding.

If a court finds this class action waiver unenforceable, then the entire arbitration agreement in this Section 14 is null and void as to the affected dispute.

14.4 Exception for small claims

You may bring an individual claim in small claims court in your county of residence (or in Outagamie County, Wisconsin) instead of arbitration, as long as the claim qualifies under that court's rules and stays in that court.

14.5 Exception for intellectual property

ROKO may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in court to protect its intellectual property, trademarks, or trade secrets without first attempting informal resolution or arbitration.

14.6 30-day right to opt out of arbitration

You may opt out of the arbitration agreement and class action waiver within 30 days of your first purchase by sending written notice to:

If you opt out, neither party will be bound by Sections 14.2 and 14.3 with respect to any dispute between you and ROKO.


15. Consumer rights — EU, UK, Brazil, Mexico, and other jurisdictions

Nothing in these Terms — including the limitation of liability in Section 13 and the arbitration agreement in Section 14 — limits, excludes, or modifies any consumer protection right that:

If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Brazil, Mexico, or any other jurisdiction with mandatory consumer law, the protections of that law apply to you and prevail over any conflicting provision of these Terms.

This includes the right to bring a dispute before the courts of your country of residence under EU Regulation No. 1215/2012 and equivalent rules.


16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

If you are a consumer resident in another jurisdiction, the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence also apply, as described in Section 15.

The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply to these Terms.


17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ROKO, its officers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

We may suspend or terminate your access to rokohome.com or any ROKO Product at any time, with or without notice, if:

If we terminate your access for a violation, you are not entitled to a refund. If we terminate because we discontinue a service you have purchased but not yet accessed, we will refund the unused portion of your purchase.

You may stop using rokohome.com at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17) will survive.


19. Changes to these Terms

ROKO reserves the right to modify, update, or replace these Terms at any time, in our sole discretion, to reflect changes in our products, technology, legal requirements, or for any other reason.

When we make changes:

Your continued use of rokohome.com or any ROKO Product after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using our services.


20. General provisions

20.1 Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and any product-specific terms presented at purchase, constitute the entire agreement between you and ROKO regarding rokohome.com and ROKO Products. They supersede any prior agreements between us on this subject.

20.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or — if it cannot be modified — severed from these Terms. The remaining provisions will continue in full force.

20.3 No waiver

If we do not enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not waive our right to enforce it later.

20.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms freely, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

20.5 No agency

These Terms do not create any partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between you and ROKO.

20.6 Force majeure

Neither party is liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, internet outages, or third-party service failures.

20.7 Notices

Notices to you may be sent by email to the address associated with your account or posted on rokohome.com. Notices to ROKO must be sent by email to [email protected] or by mail to our address in Section 2.

20.8 Headings

Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.

20.9 Language

These Terms are available in English and Spanish. The English version is the controlling version in case of any discrepancy or conflict between translations.
